HCF Training & Development

We are committed to building a stronger, more sustainable voluntary and community sector in the county through training and development. By supporting the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) workforce at all levels, from volunteers and paid staff through to the trustee board, we ensure organisations not only fulfil their potential today, but are still operating effectively in years to come.

Our Impact:

By offering a range of training, information, advice and guidance services, we are able to meet the diverse needs of the VCSE sector in Hertfordshire.

Our training course programme improves knowledge in the key areas of safeguarding adults at risk, fundraising, operating safely, management, marketing and governance. The Workforce Development Grants allow organisations to access specialist training they need to deliver their services and the Level 3 Award in Education and Training upskills those individuals teaching their colleagues or the people they support. Through our Advice & Guidance and Better Boards programmes, we support organisations to recognise and address their training needs, solve one off problems that are impeding productivity and improve their overall confidence and effectiveness.
