Jacquie Hime

Jacquie is a passionate advocate for small voluntary and community sector organisations and committed to ensuring organisations have the financial resources to make a lasting impact.

Jacquie offers training and expertise in bid writing, business planning and fundraising strategy, impact and outcomes and development advice. She is also a qualified better governance and safeguarding vulnerable adults and children to level 3 trainer.

Jacquie is the director of SG5 Solutions Limited, a consultancy and training company to deliver support and advice to the voluntary and community sector. Between the years of 2003-2018, Jacquie was CEO of North Herts CVS.

Accredited training: Level 3 award in Education & Training, Hertfordshire Steps Train the Trainer, ReaLM Level 5 Leadership and Management Programme, ILM Level 3 certificate in First Line Management, Induction to Community Work Level 2 and 3 and Graduate IPM.

Kate Newton

Kate Newton is an inspirational trainer, with 15 years of experience supporting hundreds of organisations to get started on their fundraising journey, securing successful funding and thrive.

Entering the voluntary and community sector after a career as a Marketing Director, initially as a volunteer, then as a Group Development Manager for an infrastructure charity, Kate brings skills around governance, fundraising and entrepreneurship. Kate enjoys working with charities and community groups to identify issues and work on solutions. She works as Grants Manager for a Hertfordshire grant-giving charity supporting older people.

Sue Pearlman

Sue Pearlman has worked in the charity sector for many years, is passionate about charities and now works with trustees and senior staff of charities to improve their governance.

Sue is the founder of TP Consultants providing training and guidance in voluntary sector governance and management. She is a consultant with the Lloyds Bank Foundation and is the Lead Trainer in Governance for Hertfordshire Community Foundation, training trainers in governance as well as delivering training.

Sue's experience was gained mainly through her involvement with the Citizens Advice Bureau service where she started as a volunteer and rose to become Joint District Manager for a group of CABx. She remains passionate about the potential of the voluntary sector and understands the different roles that trustees, managers, staff, volunteers, clients, funders and other stakeholders play.

Vivianne Child

Vivianne is passionate about charities that make a difference in their communities.

Vivianne began her working career as a mathematician having graduated from Imperial College, London. She then spent fifteen invigorating years working in retail marketing. Returning to education, Vivianne gained an MBA before qualifying as an executive coach, with an NLP bias. Her change management and coaching work has seen her working for clients including Cranfield University, Whitbread, Camelot, The Church of England, Bank of America and Volvo. She is also Chief Executive of the charity Tring Together which encompasses BusinessMart; the award- winning Hertfordshire business networking group.

Vivianne's work for HCF includes training and consulting on the Better Boards Programme, particularly around being a charity trustee and the working relationships between Chairs, CEOs and the Trustees. Vivianne holds university level recognised teacher status.

Robin Hodgkinson

Robin has worked in the voluntary sector for over 30 years organising and running training and consultancy programmes, covering VCS organisational and personnel management, personal skills, volunteer management and trustee board training.

Robin has authored the national TrustElearning programme, which for many years was endorsed by the Charity Commission, as well as authoring a variety of online practical toolkits in subjects ranging from volunteer management to writing good funding applications. Robin has undertaken over 50 Trusted Standards (formerly PQASSO) quality assessments ranging from very large to very small organisations.

Accredited training: Adult safeguarding, Prevent training, CTTLS Adult Learning Teaching Qualification, E Guides Certificates, trained and passed as a Trusted Charity Mark Peep Accessor OCN and ASDAN Internal Verifier.

Sonia Clarke

Sonia has delivered Safeguarding Adults at Risk (SAR) training for HCF for over 9 years, also working closely with Hertfordshire County Council trainers, and with other local organisations to create bespoke packages to meet their Safeguarding needs.

Sonia developed Safeguarding for Trustees for the Better Boards programme, and consulted with organisations in order to improve their Safeguarding Policies and procedures She has worked in the Voluntary sector for a Mental Health charity for over 10 years, leaving a Clinical Manager role to achieve improved work life balance and concentrate on Therapy, Supervision, Training and Consultancy Practice, www.Soniaclarkecounselling.co.uk

Moreen Pascal

Moreen has had a varied career in business support services, local government and the voluntary and community sectors where her focus has been on social justice initiatives and workforce development.

Moreen's career includes 8 years leading an independent, Hatfield-based charity, 4 years as Businesslink Diversity Manager and representing the Voluntary & Community Sector on the Hertfordshire Safeguarding Adults Board during its early formation.

She currently manages staff and board development programmes for a national organisation part-time. For Hertfordshire Community Foundation Training and Development, she provides Safguarding Adults at Risk training, Building Effectiveness Leadership Programme and Advice and Guidance. Moreen is a board member of 4 non profit organisations including that of of Letchworth-based First Garden Cities Homes.

Accredited training: Qualified Assertiveness Trainer and a Fellow of the Institute of Occupational Training and Learning.

Miriam Feehily

Miriam has worked as a consultant and project manager within the voluntary and community sector for the last 15 years. She also volunteers locally within both food and education charities; helping with community engagement and supporting building communities.

Miriam has worked with HCF as an Advisor and Trainer; delivering Advice and Guidance, supporting organisations with grant applications and assessments and building effectiveness leadership projects. Miriam delivers various training within the sector including Safeguarding for Adults, Mental Health and Well-being, Volunteer Management and Managing Challenging Behaviour. Prior to joining the voluntary and community sector, Miriam worked within the healthcare industry for 20 years at a senior level; both strategically and operationally.

Accredit training: Diploma in Marketing, (MCIM), HCC approved Adult Safeguarding, CACHE/NCFE Mental Health First Aid Trainer, HCPA Training Management L4, City & Guilds PTTLS L4, Learning Outcomes-Workforce Development (SFEDI L4).

Hannah Harris

Hannah is extremely passionate about her work, and wishes to continue to support the voluntary sector, and having their voice heard as essential services needed within our society.

Hannah has worked in Adult Care Services and the NHS Joint Commissioning Team for 35 years. She has worked extensively with the voluntary and community sector. Her roles have varied across several local authorities and NHS Trusts supporting, contracting, training, and commissioning services on their behalf. She has several years’ experience working with hard-to-reach groups, and other charities. She has sat on many steering groups, identifying the needs and gaps in provision.

Christine Wyard

Christine is passionate for working for and with people who are deemed ‘marginalised’ and empowering them to move forward in their lives and reach their potential goals and give them HOPE

Christine has worked in the voluntary/ charity sector for 25 years. She was Chief Executive Officer at ASCEND, South Oxhey for 10 years until recently, and 14 years as a school administrator in East London. Christine has sat on many steering groups within Hertfordshire to help drive forward gaps in provision.

Christine was awarded The High Sheriff of Hertfordshire Award for 'Services to the Community.'
