This service can supports a trustee board at any stage of their development.

Do you think your board meetings could be more effective and are not sure where to start? Perhaps you are a new organisation who wants to embed good practice? Or a well-established board that wants a health check?

  • Prior to your board meeting a Better Boards specialist advisor will meet with the Chair and CEO to get some background on your organisation and what you hope to achieve from a board observation;

  • Your advisor will read all board papers and attend the trustee board as an observer;

  • Your advisor will then give feedback and present a report with action points from their observations to the Chair and CEO.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this service you will have:

  • Improved board knowledge of good practice.

  • Improved board confidence, productivity and effectiveness.

  • Action plan for the further board development.
