Keynote speaker

Leah Selinger - Chair, Watford Women's Centre

Leah Selinger has over two decades of experience as a fundraiser and senior manager in the voluntary sector where she has worked in, and with, organisations helping them become more effective and sustainable through governance, strategy, income generation and implementation support.

Her consulting work specialises in income generation and strategic planning, with a focus on supporting small and medium sized organisations to be financially resilient. Leah also delivers a range of training and workshops on strategy and fundraising, and is an experienced and engaging facilitator.

Leah is Chair of Governors at a primary school in Hertfordshire, and is Chair of Trustees at Watford Women’s Centre.

Jon Clarke, Trainer and Facilitator

Jon is a qualified teacher with a PGCE and has run courses in many countries, but does most of his training in Herts and Bucks. He has run Training Together since 2012 and has taught soft skills to thousands of staff and volunteers in the public and voluntary sectors. Until recently, he was Chair of his Parish Council, and was the safeguarding governor for his local school. From 1981 to 2011 he was a police officer in London with a focus on neighbourhoods, communities, and mental health.

Jeremy Colman - Chair of Trustees for Crossroads

Jeremy Colman is the Chair of Trustees for Crossroads, a local social care charity delivering support for people who need care in their own homes and those who live with them.

With a professional HR and Marketing background in both the hospitality and social care sectors, he believes that organisational culture is at the heart of every charity’s ability to navigate change.

Jeremy will be sharing his experiences as a Chair of Trustees working for a charity at a time of change. He'll talk about the challenges and opportunities, how they have responded and where this has led them, sharing a few insights and suggestions gained along the way.
