Learning outcomes

By the end of the this course you will be able to:

  • Understand and be confident

    Have increased understanding and confidence in the behaviour changes needed at a personal and organisational level to address climate change.

  • Create actionable goals

    Support your workplace to become a ‘carbon literate organisation’.

  • Become certified

    Submit personal and organisational ‘action pledges’ to reduce carbon and achieve the Carbon Literacy certification from the Carbon Literacy Trust.

HCF Green Grants - all grant applicants require Carbon Literacy training.

Course fees: £15 for staff or volunteers from a Hertfordshire Voluntary Community or Social Enterprise organisation.

Please note, only two attendees per organisation are permitted but you can add additional people to our waitlist.

Groundwork East have worked with the Carbon Literacy Project since 2019 to deliver Carbon Literacy training to Local Authorities, Town/Parish Councils, education settings, corporates, and community groups.

Alice Browne

Alice Browne is the Community and Grants Officer at Groundwork East. Alice is experienced at supporting community groups, charities and individuals on: applying for funding; managing volunteers; and, carbon literacy. Outside of work Alice concentrates on climate and nature activism.

Cancellation terms

If you are unable to attend this course please contact [email protected] with at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel your place. HCF Training & Development reserves the right to keep the course fee and issue an additional fee in the case of non-attendance of this course without proper notice OR failure to submit the action pledges required for the Carbon Literacy certification. Within the 48 hour notice period your course place may be transferred to another eligible individual from your organisation, but not transferred to another course.
