Refresh and update your knowledge on safeguarding adults at risk and the requirements of The Care Act

This online course is for all staff and volunteers working in a voluntary sector social care environment who have not attended safeguarding adults course within the last 2 years, it is not suitable if you are new to safeguarding adults.

Course fees: £15 for non-profit organisations, or £35 for public and private organisations.

  • Learn who to talk to and what to do if you have concerns

Learning outcomes

By the end of the this course you will be able to:

  • Know the three key criteria of an adult at risk and name the key principles of safeguarding adults

  • Be able to identify different types of abuse and recognise symptoms or indicators of abuse

  • Differentiate the three key roles in Safeguarding Adults

About the trainer

Sonia Clarke

Sonia has delivered Safeguarding Adults at Risk training for HCF for over 8 years, also working closely with Hertfordshire County Council trainers to deliver Safeguarding for Managers, and with other local organisations to create bespoke packages to meet their Safeguarding needs. She has also worked with HCF delivering Safeguarding for Trustees as part of the Better Boards programme , and consulted with organisations in order to improve their Policies and procedures in this area.
