Learn the main principles and key responsibilities of safeguarding adults at risk

This course is for new staff and volunteers working in a voluntary sector social care environment who have not attended safeguarding adults course before. It is also relevant to those who haven't attended this course in the past 2 years and need a refresher.

Course fees: £20 for VCSE (Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise) organisations in Hertfordshire, or £40 for non-VCSE organisations with charitable aims in Hertfordshire. Please note, only two attendees per organisation permitted, you can add additional people to our waitlist below.

  • Learn the main principles of safeguarding adults and the key responsibilities of individuals that work with adults at risk, or their families.

  • Learn about The Care Act 2014 & the HCC multi-agency policy and procedures.

  • Learn who to talk to and what to do if you have concerns

Learning outcomes

By the end of the this course you will be able to:

  • Recognise adults who may be at risk

  • Recognise possible adult abuse

  • Respond appropriately – Making Safeguarding Personal

If you are unable to attend this course please contact [email protected] with at least 72 hours’ notice to cancel your place. HCF Training & Development reserves the right to keep the course fee and issue an additional fee in the case of non-attendance of this course without proper notice. Within the 72 hour notice period your course place may be transferred to another eligible individual from your organisation, but not transferred to another course.
