Learn the science of how your body language affects you and those you speak to

We all have something important to say, and by the end of this course you’ll have strategies to deal with the fear of speaking in public and ways to use your body language to help you and your audience.

Course fees: £15 for VCSE (Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise) organisations in Hertfordshire, or £35 for non-VCSE organisations with charitable aims in Hertfordshire.

  • Learn some practical tips to manage any fear you may have that could stop you sharing your stories and ideas in public.

  • This course gives ideas to help you shape your message to make what you have to say stay in the minds of your listeners.

  • Learn some practical tips for structuring what you want to articulate, giving you confidence whether you’re taking a microphone, pitching to funders, presenting to colleagues, or making a contribution in a meeting.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the this course you will be able to:

  • Use your body language to help you and your audience

  • Accurately identify fears which stop you sharing your story, and ways to manage them

  • Structure a presentation, whether short or long, so your main point is remembered
