Help to improve your chances of winning larger grants and contracts

We will work through a toolkit to help you achieve results, with a combination of trainer input and practical exercises. This course is for those involved in fundraising who are preparing for, or working on, a live bid (£10k+) and/or those who have had a recent bid rejected and wish to understand how to improve their chances in the future.

Course fees: £20 for VCSE (Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise) organisations in Hertfordshire, or £40 for non-VCSE organisations with charitable aims in Hertfordshire.

  • Learn how to research and prepare for your bid/application;

  • Writing high scoring answers to meet funders’ criteria;

  • How to tender for contracts (e.g. with Hertfordshire County Council) and how to create a bid plan to manage your time and resources;

  • How to win – best practice, top tips and common mistakes.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the this course you will be able to:

  • Identify and evaluate potential sources of income

  • Describe what is required to score highly and win applications and contracts

  • Know how to improve your own bids and applications

HCF Training & Development reserves the right to keep the course fee and issue an additional fee in the case of non-attendance of this course without proper notice. Within the 48 hour notice period your course place may be transferred to another eligible individual from your organisation, but not transferred to another course.
